Welcome to May! Can you believe we are nearly at the half way point of 2020? Neither can I, but without further ado, here is May’s Monthly Tarot Card – Ace of Pentacles.
I am thrilled to have picked the Ace of Pentacles for this month. With everything that is happening, to have an ace card provides such a breath of fresh air! Let’s break it down – all aces usually signify the beginning of a particular journey (depending on the suit), as you may expect from it being the first card. The suit of pentacles is very often considered to be the suit regarding money and businesses, however there is a little more to the pentacles than just having all the money.
When I pulled this card from my deck today, I immediately felt a sense of renewal, not just in a financial sense but in a physical sense also. This may very well because the suit of pentacles is linked to the element of Earth and thus also physical wellbeing. Which leads me onto my monthly reading today.
I feel that today, the Ace of Pentacles is indicating a fresh start or new beginning across the globe. Through the world’s current crisis, we are beginning to see the effects of everyone’s hard work. Of course, we are far from the end, but even if that end is still many, many months from now, we are at least beginning to see an end in sight. The Ace of Pentacles is a perfect symbol for the beginning of this earth element to restart it’s engines and get going again.
Saying this, the card does of course suggest new financial endeavours. Perhaps, through all of this, you have been able begin a new budget which is helping you? Perhaps May will be the month where you sit down and tackle that side hustle you have been wanting to start for a while, or take a whole new career leap and switch jobs? But, ultimately, now is a great time to create. Dream big and manifest what you need to create a stronger, happier life for when we can all return back to normal. Just be ready to go out there and get it, the universe cannot give everything away for free.
I hope you are all staying safe and well!
Welcome back to another monthly card, of which today I present to you The Emperor for April.
In times like these, it isn’t surprising that we have received quite a powerful, major arcana card for this April’s tarot card. Of course, it goes without saying that all cards are meaningful and powerful in their own right, however the major arcana has it’s way of highlighting the bigger changes in our lives and The Emperor is no exception.
My first point of call is noticing The Emperor’s authority. It goes without saying that The Emperor is a man with a lot of power, and can often suggest a boss or some kind, or even higher such as a Minister or Emperor. Saying this, it can also represent someone who just has a lot of presence in one’s life, such as a dad or a big brother perhaps. With this power can come a lot of dominance, and unfortunately can represent both sides of it; they have the power to get things done, but can also become too overbearing or even controlling.
Despite focusing on the power, it is also important to highlight the by-product of this which often results in success. Whoever The Emperor may be representing in your life, they have most likely worked hard to get to the position they are in and earned the trust and rapport they have received with others. The Emperor is not afraid to sit in his throne and show his wealth.
Overall, this could ultimately lead to two things for this month. It may be suggesting that at some point in this month you may come across a powerful figure or be influenced by one in some way. At this moment in time, the obvious might be by family members, key workers or those in power when it comes to the global pandemic we are currently facing.
On the flip side, we can also see this card as an aspect of ourselves. Even with everything going on, it may be encouraging us to work a little harder, plan a little bit more and gain authority and control over our own lives. The Emperor is a successful man, and there is no reason why we cannot be so too, we just have to make that future for ourselves.
Let me know if you have come across your Emperor yet this month!
I’m coming at you with a slightly delayed post, but I just cannot help it as I truly want to share this box of goodies from The Village Witch with you all!
For those of you who are new to The Village Witch, they are one of the largest UK Witchcraft shop, holding the largest number of handmade to order Witchcraft products. 2 years ago, they released their brand new sub boxes, and they have been a hit with many customers since day 1.
The box I have right here is the February 2020 box with the theme of love across all walks of life. This can include self love, love for life and for your business! The box included: Come to Me Oil, Business Love Ink, Self Love Powder, Banish Toxic Love Cleansing Salt, Servitor Smiles Incense, Love for Life Aura Spray, Family Harmony Floor Wash, a Make Your Own Kit (2x wooden hearts, beads, ribbons), red heart tealight, badge, a keepsake tin, a sneaky treat bag and the monthly information/instruction sheet.
As you can see just from the photo and list above, you get absolutely loads! Despite only paying £30 for the boxes (which includes your postage and packing), you easily receive over £50 worth of goodies to rummage through. That – in itself – is an impressive feat and I am incredibly grateful for the amount you get treated to every month.
Now we have covered this, I would love to share with you all my favourites for the month! Of course, choosing favourites can be incredibly hard as the products are wonderfully made and packaged.
My favourite product – Self Love Powder. When using magical items, I often gravitate towards oils, but there was just something about this powder! It came at the perfect time and looks/smells gorgeous!
My favourite working – This month, I combined the powder and aura spray together. I found that even though they were for slightly different things, I can often lose my passion for life when feeling down within myself. Therefore, what better way to rejuvenate everything than combining the two. Sprinkles of powder in my goals/affirmation notebook, surrounded by the scent from the Love for Life Aura Spray, with a candle on in the background – perfect!
Overall favourite thing – Out of everything I could possibly choose here, I had to choose the hearts! And no, I don’t mean the kit, or the heart candle. I mean the extra little care The Village Witch took to add a finishing touch to the sub box by adding foiled hearts to the packaging, making everything seem even more perfect. Upon opening, you could feel the love already within the products and the foiled hearts just added to this. That’s it for this month!
The subscription boxes are released on the 10th of every month, with the closing date to buy one on the 8th, so there is still a little bit of time to grab your space for March! You can get your own here!
How is March here already? Can you believe it? However, with a new month comes a new monthly tarot card, and this month we have the Page of Cups.
The Page of Cups is a card all about messages and opportunities in one way or another. This could be messages or opportunities provided to us from others or the universe, or could be suggesting a much deeper route of our own journey and self development.
When looking at the card, we can immediately see a young man seemingly offering us a cup full of fish. This can be the representation of the message to us or the opportunity being handed to us as the receiver. Saying this, a cup full of fish does seem a bit strange, doesn’t it? Whilst many may turn away and refuse a cup of fish, this card reminds us to be open minded about the opportunities or messages we may be receiving.
It is also important to note that this card is a cup card, meaning that it has a direct link to our emotional side and creativity. As mentioned before, this card can also indicate personal messages and opportunities that we reveal for ourselves, especially when it comes to emotional or creative endeavours. Again, allow yourself to let loose and allow yourself to explore any new opportunities that may come your way – they may lead to a much happier you!
I hope you have a wonderful March!
It is the 2nd of February, which can only mean one thing! Happy Imbolc to all of those who are celebrating today, and with that in mind, I wanted to share my thoughts on Imbolc with you all today.
Imbolc, also known as Candlemas, is a festival which often signifies the light coming back into the world after the sabbat Yule. Symbolised by white candles, white flowers and white decorations, Imbolc is often regarded as the transitions between the heart of the winter into the beginning of Spring, ready for the Spring Equinox in March.
As a result, my own Imbolc traditions always consist of lighting candles and enjoying the new found light in the mornings. Whether it is a tealight or a scented jar candle, I always ensure that I light a candle once in the morning and once in the evening to see me through the rest of the night.
Of course, there are several differing traditions out there, with many performing rather extensive rituals and preparing 3 day long feasts. I, for one, am ready for a good feast, however Imbolc for me is a time where I appreciate the smaller things. Sometimes, just giving a nod to the sun and saying thanks for lighting the world in our darker days is all we need to truly remember and appreciate it.
I don’t, however, just light a candle and be done with it. Candles are wonderful to provide a place of focus and comfort, and can give us 5 minutes or 20 minutes of solitude and concentration when we want to concentrate on ways we can brighten our own lives. This is what I do. I use the light of the candle to inspire me to bring light in my life and those around me.
Do you celebrate Imbolc, and if so, how do you go about celebrating this special day?
It has come to that time of month – time to draw out our next monthly card, and this time around we have the King of Wands for February.
I always admire this card very much. As a reader, I’m always drawn to the King himself and the brightness and optimism that he brings with him. He is dressed in majestic red robes with a bright gold crown upon his head, emphasising his position within the suit of wands.
The king himself appears to be looking off in the distance in the same direction of which he holds his staff. Immediately, this highlights his forward thinking and how that aids him a leadership position. He may be able to see ahead of issues and solve them, or lead a team to a goal or perhaps even a a brand new business venture.
The King of Wands is natural. No false pretences, no power craze. Just a good leader wanting to fulfil a vision for him and his team.
It is also important to recognise the suit, rather than just the fact he is a king. Wands are a symbol of passion and creativity. Yet, with the King of Wands, rather than just planning and exploring ideas, he would rather seek the vision and act upon it, encouraging his followers at the same time, as we have previously mentioned.
In our lives, this card could represent that is it time to finally act upon and creative venture or business and follow through on that vision. However, instead of just following our own dreams, this card also helps us to remember to bolster others up in the process. Time to take the lead of your situation and grasp that wand of life.
That is it until March! How does the King of Wands relate to you at the moment in time?
I do hope that 2020 has been treating you well so far! From New Year’s Day, we often spend January planning things we want to achieve, actions we want to drop and projects we want to take up. Witchcraft is no different, so I have prepared a couple of Witchy Habits to help see you through 2020.
First thing first readers… we all need to stop doubting just about everything, but most of all ourselves. The choices we take, the food we eat, the dreams we aspire to, the tarot card we have chosen… all these things are doubted by millions across the globe every day, and there is no need to worry so much. You have decided something for a reason, don’t let it bring you down.
Trust your intuition
This next habit can only be achieved once we have stopped doubting everything that we do. Once we allow ourselves to go with the flow, we can then truly tune into our own gut instinct. Listening to your gut instinct however, is only one step. You then need to trust it and act upon it. Your body and sub conscious is telling you something for a reason – don’t ignore it.
Find magic in the little things
Growing up, and even now, I loved looking out the window and just looking at the world around me. I used to have a tree behind my house, which never looked the same every day. That in itself is magical. The nature around us adapts to live and thrive in the world it is in, as do we! There is magic all around us, and finding magic in the most mundane things can sometimes be the most inspiring.
Light a candle
My last habit for 2020 is lighting a candle everyday, or at least every week. Candles, even when not performing rituals or candle magic, provide a place of comfort, warmth and focus. Even lighting a tea light first thing in the morning or last thing at night, gives us a routine where we can meaningful do something to bring light into our lives. I often like to visualise or give thanks when lighting my tea lights – that is conquering two habits in one!
As you may see, none of these are particularly “witchy”; nevertheless, they are all as equally important to massive 3 hour long rituals if that is what you like to do. As I mentioned previously, it is the smaller things that can bring us ever closer to our dream life and spirituality, not to mention that we cannot expect ourselves to perfectly perform much harder things if we have not yet mastered the small tasks.
What habits are you taking up for 2020?
Before I begin, I would like to wish you all a very happy 2020. I hope you all had a wonderful festive period and I look forward to journeying through 2020 with you all.
As we have now reached 2020, it is officially time to reveal my card for the month of January. Today, I present The Sun, which is an incredibly positive card to begin not only the month with, but the year and a whole new decade.
The Sun depicts a young boy sitting on a horse rejoicing at the sun, seemingly celebrating life in it’s entirety. Right now, The Sun can relate to many in a variety of ways. Initially, the Sun represents hope, the light at the end of the tunnel perhaps and the happiness that it brings is what many wish for when starting the new year. However, it is just your standard hope, yet full on optimism.
It also highlights a feeling that I have had for the past couple of months. With radiant beams coming off the Sun, you can see why so many look at it and smile. It is a sign that things can get better, that they will get better as long as will allow them too. I have mentioned a couple of times recently to my family and friends that 2020 seems to already feel incredibly positive, a year we can all make our own, and The Sun very much emphasises this.
With optimism and happiness on our side, it reiterates that anything can be possible, which means that success and abundance can also be on the cards for many this January.
What have you got planned this month and how does The Sun relate to your life currently? Don’t forget to let me know!
Now you know a little more about me, it is about time we delve into my personal interests and the services that I offer through Elleiah.
Being a traditional witch, I am intrigued by anything natural, metaphysical and of course magical, however, much like others, I do have a select few favourites which I have taken the time to learn more about, practise and begin offering them to others. Before long, I realised that I had a gift and love for divination of all types. Tarot, Pendulums, Numerology, Runes, Rods… you name it and I am there in a flash!
So what can you find on this website?
The biggest of my services, I have over 20 different tarot reading spreads which I can perform for you. No matter what question you have and what aspect of life you need help in, tarot can be a way to provide guidance when you need it most. I currently offer tarot spreads in a 4 set categories: Money & Career, Love & Relationships, Personal Development and General Tarot Readings Spreads.
Unlike Tarot, Pendulums are used to gain more specific answers and can only answer closed questions. Tarot can provide deeper insight, yet may not give a precise answer. Pendulums, however, can you give you the Yes, No or Maybe answer that some questions need. I currently offer Pendulum Readings for up to 3 questions per session – however there is no limit how many bundles you buy!
Ah Numerology – my nerdy side coming out! Anyone who knows me, knows that I have a thing about numbers. Yes… I was one of those who loved Maths in school! When I realised you could combine magic with numbers and patterns… safe to say, I was excited. Numerology can be used to get know yourself a bit better, answer a variety of questions with key words and even can be used as a compatibility test!
As I mentioned previously, I truly enjoy learning and there is no better way to share my knowledge than to offer them out to you. In the upcoming future, I am looking to add more Tarot and Pendulum Reading services, as well as adding a new listing for Rods. Although divining rods and pendulums are used for the same reason, many have specific preferences (just like how you may be drawn to one tarot deck over another), therefore it only feels right to have both on the site!
I am also looking into adding Palmistry. Palmistry is something which also fascinates me and I cannot wait to share this with you.
As you can see, I have so much prepared and ready with even more services lined up not mentioned in this post. What would you love to see? Do you have a specific service you have always wanted to try? Don’t forget to let me know!
Welcome to Elleiah, a little corner of the internet where you can not only find ramblings and blog posts written by me, but also a place where you can peruse and buy a range of different divination services.
So who am I? I am Elleiah and have been a witch for my entire life, now spanning 21 years! Following Traditional Witchcraft, I have followed, learned and experienced an awful lot and have always enjoyed spreading the word further afield.
For the past 4 years, I have been reading tarot professionally through The Village Witch. I have read for many, many people, all coming from different lifestyles and religious backgrounds, including a couple of rather well-known people! However, tarot isn’t all that I do, I also use pendulums for readings, perform numerology readings as well as a multitude of other things. Elleiah is a collection of my thoughts, feelings as well as all the services that I can provide and want to share with others.
I cannot wait to share a variety of services with you, ranging from Tarot to Numerology, as well as my ramblings about divination, Witchcraft and life in general.
See you soon,
